Forgiveness

In life we will face many challenges, some we will overcome on our own and others may need the support of our friends, relatives, chosen family, and community to get through. Forgiveness is something that is challenging. It can bring about feelings of anger, pain, sadness, grief, and so much more. Remember, forgiveness does not mean that we forget. Forgiveness can teach us empathy for ourselves and for others. We can use our experiences to guide us and help us grow. Forgiveness is an opportunity to look at the world from a new perspective. It’s okay to revisit our past from time to time, processing emotions is important for us to heal and grow as individuals and as a community. Take a moment to reflect on where you have been before and where you are today. How can you continue discovering yourself and making a difference in the lives of those around you? Don’t let your past hold you back, your energy no longer belongs there. Use your energy to create the life you want.
